Dear Friends, our hearts are broken with the news of  the death of  Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  She was a giant of justice.  Yes, she is an idol to me because as the second woman ever to be appointed to the Supreme Court, she paved the way for women’s equality before the law.  She knew from personal experience what unfairness is, and she was determined–and successful!– to champion women’s rights to be taken seriously by the courts and by society. BUT SHE WAS MORE THAN THAT. She was a champion for ALL who everyday live with and fight social injustice.  That is why I am using this book cover to illustrate her:  what she did was “Not For Ourselves Alone”…it was for equality for a better America, a better world.  Please read more about this remarkable woman in this New York Times piece.
