This is a first for Kathrine and Roger Robinson we are doing a dynamic duo speaking presentation. We’ve never been to Baton Rouge and we both love zydeco! It should be fun because it was created 20 years ago by The Running Chicken Track Club. The Baton Rouge Beach Marathon has become a city-wide tradition celebrating running and giving back to the community through charities.
Kathrine Switzer has long been one of running’s most iconic figures. Not just for breaking barriers as the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon in 1967, but also for creating positive global social change. Because of her millions of women are now empowered by the simple act of running.
