Kathrine enjoys being a part of inaugural events, and this first women’s race is already fated for success as it is produced by Bellin Health, the company that has already proved themselves by organizing the 18,000 strong annual Bellin Race every June. Kathrine will be at the expo all day Friday to meet, greet and sign her books, and will be the keynote speaker at 6 PM that evening for the Women’s Inspiration Dinner, which is 4-8 PM at the KI Convention Center Ballroom. She’ll help start the race on Saturday and be there to welcome finishers!
Kathrine Switzer has long been one of running’s most iconic figures. Not just for breaking barriers as the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon in 1967, but also for creating positive global social change. Because of her millions of women are now empowered by the simple act of running.
