The Boston Marathon is an annual highlight in Kathrine’s life. She will be there at the Expo (on the 17th, 18th and 19th) and all press conferences. Kathrine will be at the Skirt Sports’ booth with founder Nicole DeBoom during the expo days featuring the “261 Fearless” apparel. On April 19th from 12-12:45 I will participate in the annual Meet the Legends panel at the Hynes Convention Center (expo location), Room 200. Race Day, Monday the 20th Kathrine will be doing her 38th consecutive television broadcast from the finish line with WBZ-TV. Expo Booth #1430 Hours: Friday 2-6, Saturday 11-5, Sunday 10-2 (with a break from 11:50-12:50 for the Legends Panel).
Kathrine Switzer has long been one of running’s most iconic figures. Not just for breaking barriers as the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon in 1967, but also for creating positive global social change. Because of her millions of women are now empowered by the simple act of running.
