Kathrine’s third appearance here will be special with two new additions: 261 Fearless running apparel will be featured in a fashion show — Kathrine modeling as well! Also will be the Syracuse launch of the film “Spirit of the Marathon II” with an appearance by both Kathrine and Roger Robinson, author of the companion book. Join them at the expo, pasta dinner and all day on the race course. Kathrine’s running began at Syracuse University and she ran many of her training miles on the roads nearby this race site!
Kathrine Switzer has long been one of running’s most iconic figures. Not just for breaking barriers as the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon in 1967, but also for creating positive global social change. Because of her millions of women are now empowered by the simple act of running.
