Books are a passion for Kathrine and she is delighted to support the upstate New York Seymour Library in Auburn. This will be a fun evening for all ages as she regales and inspires her audience with stories of her early beginnings in running in the local area. Also in attendance will be author Roger Robinson who is also speaking. They will be signing and selling books and there will be plenty of other raffle prizes!
Kathrine Switzer has long been one of running’s most iconic figures. Not just for breaking barriers as the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon in 1967, but also for creating positive global social change. Because of her millions of women are now empowered by the simple act of running.
