Kathrine will be the speaker for the brand new Naperville, IL Women’s Half Marathon! Only announced in January, there are already 2200 women registered for the April 24 event. Kathrine is honored to kick off the event with a speech and book signing on Friday night, 4/22 at 6PM, at Wentz Hall, North Central College. This is FREE and Open to the Public. On Saturday morning, 10-11, Kathrine will be at the Naperville Running Company store, having coffee and chatting while you register.
Kathrine Switzer has long been one of running’s most iconic figures. Not just for breaking barriers as the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon in 1967, but also for creating positive global social change. Because of her millions of women are now empowered by the simple act of running.
